Author's Note: As you may already know, I like to hang out with my friends as much as possible. Lindsay and I have been friends for a long time now, we have TONS of inside jokes, and our experiences together have been exceptionally funny, so I thought that people may want to know what happens when we are in our best moods.
This weekend a lot of different things happened. Almost half of the things that happened I already forgot because I was so hyper and sick it was just plain interesting. But I will do my best to remember what happened and write to explain.
On Saturday we had a basketball tournament at Milwaukee Lutheran High School. The first two games were really easy. We played Slinger first and beat them 36-4 or something like that, and then we played WCA, and I'm not sure what that stands for but all I know is that we beat them 32-16. And then in the championship game we played Kettle Moraine Lutheran. There was this one girl on their team and she was their only player that was actually good, but she was really nice. We ended up tied 28-28 when the final buzzer rang so the game went into overtime. The overtime period was two minutes long and it was the first team to score four points. We were in the bonus and somebody on my team fouled, so the girl that they fouled made both of her free throws. Then somebody else fouled too and the other girl made both of her free throws also so we lost. The girl that I was talking about before that was their good player came up to Lexi after the game and started talking to her and she was really funny. We were all bummed, but Lindsay was sleeping over at my house that night so that would make it better.
Once Lindsay and I got in the car, I asked if we could go to Starbucks to get something to drink because there was a Starbucks right down the road. I got a strawberry-banana Vivanno smoothie, Lindsay got a caramel frappachino, and we bought a rice krispie treat for my brother, Adam, because he was in a crappy mood at that time. We had to go straight to my brother's basketball games after that. For the first game, they won, but Lindsay and I didn't watch any of it because we were playing volleyball on the opposite side of the gym. The second game me and Lindsay were the people at the scorer's table controlling the clock and marking fouls and everything in the book. At halftime we were talking to this really old referree and he was really nice. He asked if we were twins because we both had on our basketball jersies from the game, we both had our hair the same way, and I don't get why but we have had multiple people ask if we are twins before but I don't think we look anything alike at all.
After the two games we went home and we got really hyper from the Starbucks, chocolate bar, french fries, Reese's peanut butter cups, slushies, and popcorn. So we tried to settle down by watching this movie called I Love You, Beth Cooper but that didn't work out that well because we were laughing uncontrollably the entire time. Then we went out to the living room once my parents were asleep because we got bored and watched television. We ended up falling asleep an hour later but I kept waking up in the middle of the night coughing because I am really sick right now. The next morning my voice was cracked when I woke up.
For breakfast Sunday morning we each had four cinnamon rolls and a bunch of strawberries with sugar on top and milk. The next two hours we were awake we were playing Band Hero. Then we had to get ready to go shopping! Yayyyyy! At the mall we met up with Katelyn, Taylor, Erin, and Jessi. Right away we went to the food court to get the amazing teriyaki chicken and rice. Then Katelyn, Lindsay, and I went to Starbucks again but this time instead of just smoothies and coffee we got miniature chocolate sparkle donuts too! After we devoured our donuts, we went into Wet Seal to get dress clothes for away volleyball games and we aren't allowed to wear jeans. I got some leggings and a really nice shirt that's gray and it has flowers on the sleeve part. I went to Aeropostale next and got a jean skirt for over some of the leggings.
We left the mall after that and went to Kohl's to see if anything we liked was there. We didn't find anything, but my mom went back there a couple days later and found a ton of stuff that me and Lindsay didn't even look at. Once we were done shopping at Kohl's, we went to Sam's Club so my mom could get something, but I don't know what that was. All Lindsay and I did there was go around and get food samples that were out and look at the cell phones. We ate some French bread and olive oil, blackened salmon (icky!), french fries, fish, cordon bleu, lotion, and there was other stuff but I forgot what that was.
The entire weekend was hilarious, but after we were done at Sam's Club we had to drive Lindsay home and it was sad. But it was fun while it lasted. Even though just being alone at home curled up under a blanket or something, everybody does need to spend time with friends so their whole life isn't just a pedestrian place.
That was really descriptive and that's good that you put a conclusion on it. Nice job overall.
ReplyDeleteI was the one that fouled the girl the last time, and maybe the first too. Oh well. You did a great job on this and had really desriptive language. good job:)
ReplyDeleteOMG yum! i love those smoothies, that sounds like a super fun and busy weekend, nice job describing the whole weekend without sounding like you were tired of writing at the end
ReplyDeleteThat was very good, and a great improvement! Look how much better it is as a piece of writing compared to the journal style ones you've done earlier. the content is still fun, like you, but at the same time it has a whole different voice, and makes sense to the reader. Well done.
